Steve Schuler
is an IT consultant with a background in systems engineering and
computer technology. His experience includes the use of
web-based technologies such as online surveys and discussion
groups to support quantitative data analysis and other research
and education applications. He also has experience designing,
installing and maintaining a broad range of desktop and server
operating systems and applications, and training all levels of
users and administrators. In addition, Mr. Schuler has developed
web pages for companies, individuals, and university
departments, taught courses about the Internet and World Wide
Web, and served as a computer lab administrator and university
network administrator.
Mr. Schuler provides overall network administration support to
Urban Ventures while also playing a variety of technical and
analysis roles on project teams. Recently he completed an
extensive analysis of how consumers were using a newly developed
Internet website providing a comprehensive array of information
and resources intended to assist lower-income and working
families to improve their financial and economic well-being. He
has also created and implemented numerous web-based survey
components for larger fieldwork designs and has analyzed data
sets relating to an evaluation of CDC productivity and
performance. He has also developed project tracking and
forecasting tools that support financial accounting systems.
Mr. Schuler obtained his B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from
Susquehanna University. He completed coursework toward a Ph.D.
in Applied Social Psychology before leaving to focus fully on
Information Technology. He is Microsoft Certified and holds
numerous additional technical certifications.
