Kennard Wing’s consulting work over the past 25 years has
emphasized qualitative and quantitative research and the design
and facilitation of organizational planning and change
processes. It has included management and consulting for
improved organizational effectiveness in the non-profit and
public sector, as well as projects in a broad range of
industries in the private sector.
Mr. Wing’s field research, data analysis, and organization
development skills have been important to projects in both the
community development and arts and culture fields. In the
community development field, he played a central role in recent
assessments of Cleveland’s Neighborhood Progress, Inc., the
Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, and the Local
Initiatives Support Corporation’s national Organization
Development Initiative. He also provided organizational
assessment and follow-up OD assistance to the Mid-Bronx Senior
Citizens Council in New York. He has also managed various
quantitative analyses for a national evaluation of the Annie E.
Casey Foundation’s Rebuilding Communities Initiative, community
development initiatives funded by the Fannie Mae and Prudential
foundations, and a feasibility study for a lease/purchase
housing program for the Lilly Endowment in Indianapolis.
Mr. Wing’s writings on evaluation have appeared in the Chronicle
of Philanthropy and the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector
Quarterly. He has taught graduate-level courses in strategy,
organizational behavior, organizational change, and
organizational learning at the University of Pennsylvania and
Immaculata College. He has also published widely in the
management field.
Mr. Wing holds a Master’s degree from the Wharton School in
Social Systems Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree from Brown
University in Applied Mathematics-Economics. He is also a
Certified Management Accountant.
